3D in Flash
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009Apparently it’s not that new, but Flash Player 10 and Flash CS4 support 3D or what some are calling “2.5D.”

Of course there are numerous others like PaperVision and Swift 3D, but this centralizes it in homebase so to speak.

LEGO building, designing, and whatnot

However if you are into freedom with open source then check out LDraw, an open source LEGO CAD program.
Anders’ Corner of the Web has another called BlockCAD.
Bricksmith for the Apple Macintosh is another.

Collada plugin for Blender enables Google Models
Monday, May 4th, 2009I was digging through the Google 3D Warehouse and noticed quite a few decent models. I hate SketchUp though and was not sure if Blender could handle Collada.
Apparently via this plugin it can. Thanks Illusoft.
Learning to paint 3D models
